After a successful 29-year career in banking, Lisa McManness-Blevins discovered a new creative calling through pottery and the visual arts. Working primarily with clay, she is drawn to the balance of texture, form, and expression, creating pieces that reflect both artistry and craftsmanship.
Lisa is a native of Gettysburg and her background in the arts and longstanding appreciation for creative expression continue to influence her work today. Following a career transition, Lisa embraced the opportunity to fully pursue her artistic passions and co-founded a family art gallery with her brother — a space dedicated to creativity, community, and the celebration of handmade art.
Through her pottery and artistic endeavors, Lisa hopes to create pieces that bring warmth, beauty, and connection into the homes of others.
Art has always been a central part of Greg's life. He originally planned to become an elementary art teacher and attended the Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts, where he studied a variety of artistic techniques and mediums. Although life eventually led him down a different career path, his passion for creativity never faded.
Over the years, he developed a strong connection to Native American crafts, following in his father’s footsteps and attending pow wows throughout the South. His work includes wood carving, drawing, and most recently, laser engraving — allowing him to blend traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques.
Matthew McManness has spent more than 50 years supporting the higher education community as a respected finance and administration professional, serving colleges and universities across the country. A proud alumnus of Gettysburg College, he has received numerous national and local honors recognizing both his business and artistic pursuits. He was also twice inducted into the Gettysburg College Hall of Athletic Honor as part of a Team of Distinction. Throughout his career, Matt has demonstrated his lifelong commitment to leadership and service.
At the heart of Matt’s life has always been a deep appreciation for art, history, and storytelling. Through painting and illustration, he captures inspiration from the quiet beauty of coastal landscapes and reflective spaces. Although originally from Texas, by way of Gettysburg, he now resides in Rehoboth Beach, where the coastal environment continues to influence his creative work.
Matt is also a lifelong collector and curator of historical and Civil War ephemera, with a particular appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship found within original maps, prints, documents, and illustrations. He believes history offers both perspective and connection, and he takes great joy in sharing those stories and artistic treasures with others through the gallery.
Combining art, history, family, and creativity, Matt is honored to help bring the vision of the Gettysburg Family Tree Gallery to life alongside the people he loves most.

Growing up in the historic town of Gettysburg, Leslie McManness Richards developed a lifelong love of art while watching her mother paint at an easel throughout her childhood. That early inspiration sparked a creative journey that began with paint-by-number kits in the 1970’s and evolved into a passion for working with glass in many forms.
Over the years, Leslie explored stained glass, fused glass, glass sculpture and handcrafted glass beads for necklaces and earrings. Her fascination with the kiln process eventually led her naturally into pottery, where she discovered a new medium for creativity and expression.
Today, Leslie enjoys creating both functional and whimsical pieces that blend artistry with everyday life. Whether working in clay or glass, her goal is simple: to create art that brings joy, sparks curiosity, and leaves people smiling.
